Gambia: Schools Exempted From the Four-Day Working Week

The Office of the President has announced that schools are exempted from the implementation of the four-day working week earlier announced. A media release from State House on Friday revealed that schools will continue to operate from Mondays to Fridays as usual.

The release reads:

Following an earlier press release on the implementation of a four-day working week, the Office of the President hereby informs the general public especially parents, teachers and students that schools are exempted from this arrangement. Schools will continue to operate from Mondays to Fridays as usual. They will not be affected by this new four-day working arrangement.
