Gambia: Brikama Utd Secure First Win

Brikama United Saturday secured their first win of theseason following a 1-0 defeat of Gamtel in a game played at the Box Bar Mini-Stadium in Brikama.

Following some beautiful display of passing game by both teams, chances were few and the closest either side came to breaking the deadlock was when Modoulamin Touray's goal bound shot was saved by Gamtel keeper Baka Ceesay just past the half hour mark.

Following a barren first half, both sides nullified each other until the hour mark when Gamtel were reduced to ten-men after midfield enforcer Matarr Nyan was sent-off for a second bookable offence and that proved to be the game's turning point.

This prompted the Brikama United technical side to inject some more attacking players into the field and they continued to push on until a goal just two minutes from time courtesy of Yankuba Jarjue.
