Gambia: GCA ICC/ACA Sponsored CAP Course Ends

The International Cricket Association (ICC/ACA) -Africa Cricket Association- CAP Module 1 Course was organised by the Gambia Cricket Association (GCA) on Thursday 31st January 2013 at the 22nd July Square hall in Banjul.

The Cap Module 1 course which in Community Cricket was run in a day with 15 teachers from schools across Banjul, Serekunda and Brikama. The course started with an opening ceremony by the Development Officer Fabakary Touray of the National Sport Council.

The participants were trained on how to form a club, how to organise a tournament and understanding the need for organisation. The Primary and Senior School league structures were also looked at in the one-day event. The course instructor was Johnny Gomez, the president of the GCA and the Development Team officers namely; Wilfred Remileku Riley, Mbye Dumbuya and Peter Campbell.
