Nigeria: Obasanjo Visits Jonathan At Aso Villa

Ado-Ekiti — Former President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday visited the State House Abuja where he worshiped at the Aso Chapel together with President Goodluck Jonathan.

Obasanjo's visit came at a time of heightened tension between his loyalists and those of President Jonathan over perceived rift between the two leaders. But the former President stormed the presidential villa Sunday in company of two of his children and billionaire Femi Otedola.

A source present at the chapel said Obasanjo read the second lesson of the service and led a prayer session.

The sources said at the end of the service, Obasanjo visited the Children's Church in company of Jonathan where he offered prayers for the children.

Obasanjo later followed Jonathan to the official residence of the president where they had lunch together before the former leader left the villa.
