Angola: Over 30 People Arrested in Panguila

Caxito — At least thirty-three nationals, allegedly involved in several crimes of different nature, were arrested early Saturday during an operation called "Operaçao Panguila Tranquila" held at the Panguila locality, district of Dande, by the National Police in Bengo Province.

Speaking to reporters, the spokesman for the provincial command of the National Police, Chief Superintendent Adao Joao Francisco "Play", the alleged criminals were arrested for crimes of qualified theft, robbery, forgery of foreign currencies, possession and use of narcotic drugs (marijuana), rape of minors, illegal possession of firearm and kidnapping of young girls.

He stressed that the detainees included four elements considered "very dangerous" belonging to marginal groups "Ndembua" and "Kika", who practiced armed robbery, robbery and kidnapping of girls in Esperança neighborhood (Cacuaco).
