Angola: Nationalist Praises Heroes of February 4

Xangongo — The nationalist Francisco de Carvalho Muexica, praised today, Sunday, in Xangongo, headquarters of Ombadja district, southern Cunene province, the sacrifices of the heroes of the February 4, who started the liberation of the Angolan people against the Portuguese colonial oppression.

Francisco de Carvalho Muexica, who was speaking to ANGOP, on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the beginning of the armed struggle for national liberation to be marked on Monday under the slogan "lets honor our heroes serving the nation with loyalty," said that this date allowed today Angola to become free and democratic.

According to him, it was on this day that a group of Angolans tired of suffering and mistreatment by Portuguese colonialism, decided to raise machetes to fight for their freedom and autonomy, which allowed the achievement of Independence in 1975.
