Despite the conscious effort by management of Holy Hill School Complex located in Kwamoso in Akuapem North District to provide quality teaching and learning to its pupils, their efforts are being thwarted by some serious challenges, including dilapidated buildings.
The school which opened in 2008 with just six 6 children now boasts of 120 pupils and 16 teachers and non-teaching staff.
The school building is crying for rehabilitation, with doors and windows hanging loose and almost an eyesore. Text books, writing boards, desks among others are virtually non-existent. .
The makeshift library for the school lacks ventilation and up-to-date books, as the school makes do with some 1900s books.
For this, management of the school have called on well-meaning Ghanaians to go to the aid of the school to reaffirm the notion that the children are the future leaders of this country and, therefore, necessary to prepare them for the future task.
Words and emotion fail the children fight for desk, books and other materials to ensure that they get want they want. Interestingly, the school caters for 20 orphans.
