Egypt Loses 2 Billion Cubic Meters of Water Over Industrial Wastes

Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Mohamed Baha El-Din said on Sunday 3/4/2013 that Egypt loses more than two billion cubic meters of water annually due to industrial wastes, adding the lost water is sufficient to cultivate 400,000 feddans.
The minister pointed out that the ministry has managed to develop and improve irrigation of 6,800 feddans in Behira, Kafr El-Sheikh and El-Gharbia at EGP 53 million.
