Egypt: Mariotiya Waste Collection Facility Enters Service

Environment Minister Khaled Fahmi and Giza Governor Ali Abdul Rahman inaugurated on Sunday 3/2/2013 Mariotya waste collection facility in Giza.

The 4.6-million-pounds facility is being established on 4,000 square meters under Moneeb Bridge and has a capacity of 2,000 tons daily (50% of all of Giza's waste).

It will serve Omraniya, Haram, South Giza and Boulaq districts, Fahmi said.
