Egypt Receives Four F-16 Fighter Jets From Washington

Defense Minister Colonel General Abdel-Fattah el- Sisi confirmed Egypt's keenness to improve Armed Forces fighting capabilities and hailed Egypt's relations with the US. The remarks came during a ceremony marking entry into service of four US F-16 fighter jets to Egyptian Air Force on Sunday 3/2/2013.

On her part, US Ambassador to Egypt Anne W. Patterson said that this event confirms the US's belief that strong Egypt serves the interests of the US and the whole world. She added that the US is keen that Egypt pursues its role as a power for security, peace and leadership while the Middle East is in its way towards democracy.
