Egypt: Azhar Grand Imam Receives Iranian President On Tuesday

Al-Azhar announced on Monday 4/2/2013 that Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Ahmed el-Tayeb will receive Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at Al-Azhar headquarters on Tuesday.

The Iranian president's accompanying delegation and some members of the Egyptian Islamic Research Academy and Senior Scholars Authority are due to attend the meeting.

Talks between the two sides will tackle international Muslim and Arab issues along with Al-Azhar's role at both the local and regional levels. This visit is the first of its kind by the Iranian president to Egypt.
