Military Spokesman Colonel Ahmad Mohammad Ali denied reports posted on several internet websites on Monday 4 February, 2013 that the Army had aborted an attack by militants against al-Arish airport.
In a statement on his admin page, Colonel Ali called on the media to be accurate in dealing with information. He said that media outlets should rely entirely on statements issued by the Military spokesman, who is the only source of Army-related information.
