South Africa: Fiat and Chrysler Implement Recycling Programme At Their Head Office

press release

Fiat Group Automobiles South Africa and Chrysler South Africa has become a "green" environmentally conscious organisation with the implementation of a recycling programme at their joint head office in Midrand. Through this initiative, the companies intend to lessen the impact on the environment and make a contribution to the greater cause of protecting our planet.

Various bins for the collection of recyclable material, including bulk wheelie bins, have been placed at strategic points throughout the office allowing staff to recycle not only plastic, metal and glass, but also spent batteries, ink cartridges and energy-saving light bulbs.

Furthermore, the collection of glass complements the wastepaper collection initiative already underway in the company, as well as the Go Green With Jeep campaign that has been ongoing since July 2012 with The Glass Recycling Company. Glass collections bags are available for free from all current Jeep showrooms and green glass recycling banks have also been placed at these dealerships to support this initiative; customers and the public alike are encouraged to make use of this facility
