Protesters set fire to police armored vehicle in Tahrir Sqaure of Cairo on January 28, 2013.

President Mohamed Mursi will meet with heads of the police force on Monday to discuss recent security-related issues in Egypt, reported the state news agency.

Many have recently criticized Egypt's police apparatus for mistreating citizens especially after an aired footage of a man being attacked and stripped naked by riot police.

Recent clashes have left over 50 people dead and dozens injured in a wave of violence that is the worst since Mursi's election as president.
