Eritrea: Service Businesses to Enhance Commemoration of Operation Fenkil

Massawa — The Association of Service Businesses in the port city of Massawa has expressed readiness to enhance participation in the 23rd commemoration of the historical Operation Fenkil, through which the city was liberated from the Ethiopian forces of occupation.

It made the pledge at a meeting conducted with the Mayor of the city, Ms. Fana Tesfamariam, with a view to assessing its activities and relations with stakeholders, besides addressing the necessary preparations for the historic event.

Ms. Fana explained that the number of participants from other corners of the country has been increasing over the past several years, and that further preparation is necessary to ensure equivalent services during the occasion.

Likewise, Mr. Asefaw Abraha from the sub-zonal Administration of Massawa called on such businesses to strive to attain customer satisfaction.

Mr. Abraham Michael, chairman of the Association, said that service businesses in the city should by now finalize preparations for the celebrations of the momentous day.
