Zimbabwe: Cops Constructing Flats

THE accommodation crisis facing members of the police and their families at Tomlison Deport is set to ease with the construction of residential flats in the police camp. Police Commissioner Charles Mufandaedza said the force was committed to alleviating the plight of its members through provision of quality accommodation.

He said the accommodation project was now at an advanced stage.

Comm Mufandaedza was speaking at the belated Police Protection Unit end-of-year party at the ZRP golf club at the weekend. "It is without a doubt that once complete this project is set to benefit over ninety families," said Comm Mufandaedza.

He commended the PPU for undertaking viable income generating projects such as horticulture and poultry.
