Liberia: BYC Stadium Near Completion

Massive work is ongoing at the Barrack Young Controllers (BYC) mini soccer pitch located in PHP Community, Central Monrovia, ahead of the club debut CAP Confederation Cup encounter later this month. BYC were to take on Invincible Eleven (IE) in their first competitive match at the newly constructed stadium, but work is still in progress on the pitch.

Though, artificial carpet has been planted, construction workers are still mixing the man-made grass with sand and black rocks, which help to keep the grass fresh. The field, which is situated right behind the Barclay Training Center military barracks in Central Monrovia, is being reportedly constructed by the Club with support from chief patron Hon. Robert Sirleaf.

Meanwhile, Barrack Young Controllers was scheduled to have locked horns with Invincible Eleven (IE) on Sunday at the new pitch, but the match was rescheduled for Unification Town Stadium due to the ongoing construction work.
