Kwaito singer Mekox who has been quiet for a while, has come out of hiding to release his second studio album, 'Boiling Point'.
The artist whose real name is Mekondjo Kanana invited the media to a function last week to announce the launch of the album.
Mekox, who is also the owner of his music label, Omlilo Records that will also host 2012 Namibian Annual Music Awards winner Waka, told members of the media that with the new album, he has explored different styles and has featured artists such as Mushe, Kanibal and Gazza.
"I have worked with several artists on 'Boiling Point'. People didn't expect me to work with certain artists but this album is a complete project and caters for everyone as it has different genres."
Mekox, whose last album 'Point of no Return' was released back in 2009, says that even though the music industry has grown, artists still need support.
"The industry is sky rocketing in terms of the number of songs that are being released but because technology has changed, people are not buying as many albums as before. So there is a lot of talent but no financial support, and artists need financial support."
