Zambia: Sata Back Home

PRESIDENT Michael Sata yesterday arrived in the country.

The British Airways commercial plane carrying President Sata, First Lady Christine Kaseba and other members of his entourage touched down at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport at about 06:40 hours.

Others, who arrived with the President were Tourism and Arts Minister Sylvia Masebo and his Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations George Chellah.

President Sata was welcomed by Acting President Alexander Chikwanda, Vice-President Guy Scott, Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba, Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba, Home Affairs Minister Edgar Lungu, senior Government officials and service chiefs.

Several Patriotic Front (PF) cadres were also on hand to welcome the Head of State.

The President, who responded to the chanting crowd by raising the party symbol, also took time to greet some party officials.
