Nigeria: Police Foil Attack On Keshi

Rustenburg — The security men attached to the Media Centre at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium here in Rustenburg, on Sunday evening foiled what would have been an ugly scene, when they arrested a middle aged Nigerian soccer fan, who attempted to attack the Super Eagles Head Coach Stephen Keshi, moment after the Eagles quarter-final match against Cote d'Ivoire.

The man, who was wearing a Super Eagles shirt and brown trousers, was stopped at the entrance into the Media Centre, as journalists were moving into the hall for the day's post match briefing with the coaches and captains of the two national teams.
