Egypt: Minister of Industry &trade - New Industrial Zone in South Sinai At Area of 3909 Feddans

The cabinet has approved the reallocation of an area of 3909 feddans for the Ministry of Industry and Foreign Trade to set up an industrial zone in Abu Znaima, south Sinai, with the aim of enhancing efforts of development in Sinai and provide more job opportunities and investments in the area.

Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade Hatem Saleh stressed efforts launched by the ministry in coordination with the quarters concerned especially Suez Canal Authority and South Sinai Governorate with the aim of giving easy access to commodities and persons to the new development areas and diversifying industrial and investment activities.

According to the minister, the first stage of the said modern city will be dedicated for leather industry, and the applications will be received to allocate 1692 facilities distributed to ten industrial zones, 20% of which will be for small and medium projects.
