Egypt: Prosecutor-General Assigns Judge to Probe Case of Man Dragged Outside Ittihadeya

Prosecutor-General Talaat Abdullah on Monday 4/2/2013 agreed on assigning a judge at the North Cairo Primary Court to resume investigations into the case of a man who was assaulted and dragged naked by central security forces outside Ittihadeya Presidential Palace.

On the other hand, Heliopolis Chief Prosecutor Counselor Ibrahim Saleh decided charging a doctor from the Forensic Medical Authority to go to al-Matareyya Hospital for a medical check up on the assaulted man, Hamada Saber (48 years old), and prepare a detailed medical report on his injuries and how he was injured.
