Kenya: Matungu Aspirant Tells Youth to Avoid Violence
By Shaban Makokha, 5 February 2013
Matungu parliamentary aspirant Francis Ometi has urged the youth to avoid violence in the countdown to the March 4. Ometi who is running on the Federal Party of Kenya ticket said the youth can play a key role in the elections if they vote based on issues.
He asked youth to form mediation forums to addressed issues dividing communities. Ometi urged Kenyans not to resort to violence to deal with their political differences. "Election is a one-day exercise. We have to co-exist after the elections," he said.
