Kenya: Aspirant Promises to Build University

Mombasa senator aspirant Hassan Mwakimako has promised to build a public university at the South Coast. The UDF hopeful said investigating in education will help fight poverty at the Coast.

Mwakimako was addressing Shika Adabu residents in Likoni during a campaign trail at the weekend. He promised to invest in early childhood, primary and secondary education.

"We have a solution to improve the dismal performance by Mombasa and the entire coast region. Our performance is yet to improve. It is time we have standard facilities to ensure quality education," Mwakimako said. He called for peaceful campaigns and elections and promised to protect the interests of Mombasa residents if elected.
