Gambia: Wrestling - Tass-SA-Yaram-Ernes Bout Put Off Amid Blackout

The much talked about wrestling bout fight between Tass sa yaram and veteran Ernes Jarju was put off after lights at the arena went off.

In a fight dubbed talent versus experience, both fighters were left hanging when lights at the arena -staged in Bundung School -went off just in the tick of time for the start of the grand combat.

Each wrestler pockets D7,000 as reward for the battle but the winner gets a flag.

Tass labeled Ernes as 'old' hand but to which his opponent blasted back during pre-match comments. But to the dismay of an impressive turnout of supporters, the lights faded and a standby generator wasn't on the contingency list of the organizing committee.

The Wrestling Federation was not available for comments at the time. The big bout sponsored by Bayba, is being promoted by Kapsin promotion.

Foroyaa Sports will bring you details of fights on Saturday.
