Sudan: Militants Rape Five Displaced 'In Turns Over Entire Night', West Darfur

Kirinding Camp — Pro-government militia raped five displaced women "in turns over an entire night", an activist told Radio Dabanga. The women reportedly live at camp Kirinding in West Darfur.

The activist said a group of militants attacked nine women just outside the camp on Tuesday, adding that four of them managed to escape.

According to him, the remaining five women were raped in turns by the gunmen and were not released until the following day.

The victims are currently being treated at a health center in Kirinding, although the activist stressed their condition is "very critical".

Sources claim to have informed the police about the assault.
