Gambia: GFA First Division League Round Up

Gambia Ports Authority have bounced back to winning form in the 2012-2013 Gamtel-Gamcel GFA's division one league, by thrashing Bakau United 3-1 in the week three fixtures, played at the Brikama Mini-Stadium on Sunday.

Both sides lost their week two fixtures last week. Gambia Ports Authority lost to Samger 1-0, while Bakau United also lost to Young Africans on the same score line. Both of them came into the game with the hope of collecting the maximum points and keep their title hopes alive.

It was the Ferry boys who were able to carry the day after notching three stunning goals to secure a convincing victory. But Bakau United managed to score one, which eventually became a consolation goal for them.

Steve Biko also beat Samger on the same score line at the Serrekunda East Mini-Stadium, while Seaview drew 0-0 with Interior at the Banjul Mini-Stadium on the same day.

Gambia Ports Authority and Steve Biko were with 6 points each in three games. Samger secured 4 points in three games, while Seaview got 3 points in three games and Interior 2 points in three games.
