Gambia: GPA Trounce Bakau Utd

Gambia Ports Authority secured their second win of the season following a 3-1 defeat of Bakau United in a week three game played at the Box Bar Mini-Stadium in Brikama on Sunday.

The defeat condemned a sorry Bakau United to a second successive defeat in the ongoing domestic Gambian premier league. Bakau had opened their campaign with a win in week one.

Ousman Saho opened the scoring for Ports Authority just after 16 minutes with a wonderful strike from the edge of the area. But the lead didn't last long as Amadou Baldeh scored to pull his side level just seven minutes later as the two sides went into the break tied 1-1.

After an entertaining stuff of beautiful play from both sides, Ports Authority restored their lead just past the hour mark when Abdou Njie's shot was deflected into the net in the 65th minute.

Any hope of a comeback by Kebba 'Jesper' Touray's men was dashed when Ousman Saho scored his second of the evening for a 3-1 win in the 79th minute.
