Gambia: Our Aim Is to Win the League This Season, Says Biko Assistant Coach

Sainey Jarju, assistant coach of Steve Biko FC has said that their aim this season is to win the league.

Jarju made these remarks following his side's 3-1 win over Samger FC in the week three fixtures played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on Sunday.

He stated that, they have young strikers who can score goals, noting that, they believe that their players can win them the league this season.

He remarked that, it was because of courage that they were able to beat Samger FC, noting that, they will prepare equally for their next game against Brikama United.

He said, after loosing to Real De Banjul FC in their previous game they 'went back to the drawing board' for more improvement, which he said worked for them against Samger FC.

He congratulated his players for the victory, saying they performed up to expectation.

He said, the boys performed very well and this was made possible because of the head coach of the team (Abdoulie Bojang who was not on the bench for the game).

He stated further that, the tactical plan for the game came from the head coach, adding that, Bojang is the one that encouraged them to sit on the bench and coach the team.
