Medical professionals in the fields of obstetrics and gynaecology gathered in Nouakchott last week for a pan-Maghreb conference. At the end of the event on Saturday (January 2nd), delegates suggested creating a registry of maternal mortality in the Maghreb region, harmonising breast cancer screening and treatment, and improving co-operation between Maghreb countries on women's health issues.
