Egypt: Mamish - Canal Transit Fees Determined By Economic Experts

Chairman of the Suez Canal Mohab Mamish said transit fees of the Canal will be determine by a high level committee of experts and economists.

He pointed out that they verified this issue upon accurate information and studies. According to these studies, Mamish clarified, the development of the Canal is under thorough study to make it the most proper navigation way.

He added that navigation in the Suez Canal is safe and runs normally.

A few days ago, the Canal declared that the transit fees will be increased by 2%-5% by May 2013.
