U.S. ambassador to Egypt Anne Patterson said on Tuesday that having many American investors in Egypt is the biggest proof that the United States is keen on supporting Egypt during these tough economic times.

In a statement to the Middle East News Agency, Patterson said that many businessmen and American investors are fully convinced of the promising investment opportunities in Egypt due its geographic location and trade potential, two things which qualify it to be among the ranks of developed countries within the coming years.

Patterson encouraged Egyptian businessmen to make good investments and make the best use of trade opportunities that aim to support trade relations between Egypt and the U.S.
