Nigeria: Afcon 2013 - Drogba Tip Eagles for Glory

Africa's soccer icon and Ivory Coast skipper, Didier Drogba, is convinced Nigeria's Super Eagles will win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations currently holding in South Africa.

According to the Media Officer of the Super Eagles, Drogba arrived at the conclusion after assessing the performance of the team so far in the tournament.

"Drogba stormed the dressing room of the Eagles after Sunday's match to felicitate with his former club teammate, John Mikel Obi and Victor Moses, whom he says are being missed badly by Chelsea of England.

"You guys should go and win the cup because you have shown the character of a champion", Drogba said in impeccable English as he hugged away at Stephen Keshi, Mikel and Moses."

The Super Eagles kicked the star-studded Ivory Coast National team out of the competition after an impressive 2:1 win in the quarter final.

Nigeria's Ambassador to South Africa, S.S Yusuf, while commending the Eagles for a great outing in the quarter finals, revealed that his Zambian counterpart in South Africa, has tipped the Eagles to be African champions.

"With what we have seen of this team, we are sure you will not disappoint Nigerians on Wednesday and even in the final", Yusuf was quoted as saying.
