Egypt: Nation's Mursi Inaugurates Islamic Summit in Cairo

Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi inaugurated on Wednesday the twelfth Islamic summit which is expected to last for two days with the participation of 26 countries.

Heads of states arrived to Cairo on Tuesday, including Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in the first visit of an Iranian president to Cairo since 1979, and drafted a framework for discussion.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Amr has said that there is general agreement on pressing issues including the Palestinian problem and the Syrian crisis.
