Osogbo — Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, Chairman, Osun Football Association, says Prime FC of Osogbo will do well in the new season, as the club prepares for the 2012/2013 premier league.
Ogunjobi said this in an interview, Wednesday, during his visit to the players at their camp in Osogbo.
According to him, the essence of the early preparation is to ensure that the club gains promotion to the premier league after the season.
"We are doing everything humanly possible to excel and surpass our performance last season; we have quality players and we are strategising on how to be on top this season," Ogunjobi said.
He disclosed that the team's matches would be played "away" because work had yet to be completed at the Osogbo Stadium.
The club finished third in the Federation Cup when it defeated Kano Pillars 3-1 on penalties in the third place match.
It had defeated Enyimba of Aba and Rangers International of Enugu in the competition.
Following the performance, the team will represent Nigeria in the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) competition this season.
