Eritrea: Energy-Conserving Stove Makes Positive Impact

Haikota — The introduction of energy-conserving stove Adhanet has made impressive impact in promoting the wellbeing of women in Alebu and Enjihai Administrative areas, Gash-Barka region in line with the endeavors being exerted by the NUEW and stakeholders, reports indicated.

Accordingly, the beneficiaries of the stove asserted that they are in a position to avoid domestic pollution and significantly reduce energy consumption as it avoids excessive smoking and involves effective chimney outlet.

Among the inhabitants, Ms. Kierya Ahmed Birhan, Ms. Afaf Husein, Ms. Fatina Adem and Ms. Salha Omar expressed satisfaction with resorting to the use of the smokeless stove, and lauded the effort being exerted by the Union towards ensuring its innovation at household level.
