Narok County senate aspirant Andrew Sunkuli has promised to ensure a huge chunk of the first allocation of sh4.3 billion goes to infrastructure development.
Sunkuli said he will ensure that each of the 30 county assembly wards in the county has two road graders and a lorry to ensure that the bad roads in the county are repaired in order to make transportation cheaper and easier for Narok County residents.
"If you elect me, my priority will be to ensure that the main roads are tarmacked ," said Sunkuli. Sunkuli who was addressing a campaign rally in Kilgoris town yesterday expressed confidence of winning the seat and asked his three competitors to brace for a tough battle.
He said his rivals' bringing down his posters on Sunday night will not stop him from clinching the seat "My competitors are running scared of me because I represent the change that the people of Narok County want ," said Sunkuli.
He said his decision to vie for the seat as an independent candidate was formed by the realization that political parties were dividing Kenyans on tribal lines.
"I would like to serve all the people of Narok County equally when elected as their Senator together with the people they will elect as their Governor, Members of the National Assembly and the County Assembly Representatives," said Sunkuli.
