Kenya: Four Deny Killing Uncle

FOUR members of the same family were yesterday charged with murder.

Karisa Katana, Kahindi Katana, Mwalimu Katana and Kenga Katana yesterday denied killing Kazungu Dzoro, their uncle, following a dispute over land.

The four are alleged to have been part of a gang that attacked Dzoro when he went to check on his farm on October 18 at Makunda village. Police reports say Dzoro was cornered inside a house, speared and shot at with arrows .

Dzoro is said to have been with the assistant chief when he was killed. Mombasa Resident judge Maureen Odero directed the hearing to come up on 27 and 28 March.
