The African Development Bank is hosting a Forum on Indigenous Peoples' Development Issues in Africa. The event will take place on February 11-12, 2013 at the Sheraton Hotel, Tunis, Tunisia.

The objective of the Forum is to bring together indigenous peoples groups, regional member country representatives, AfDB management, a panel of experts, and other relevant stakeholders to share knowledge and experiences on the issues of indigenous people and development in Africa.

The Forum encourages open discussion on ways to enhance the participation of indigenous people in development decision-making in Africa. This is a critical step in securing the flow of development benefits into indigenous peoples' communities on the continent in an inclusive and sustainable manner. The forum will offer participants the opportunity to share their experiences, offer lessons learned and discuss specific case studies.
