Huambo — The Secretary of State for Energy, Joaquim Ventura Tuesday stressed the development of the energy sector in central
Huambo province centred on improvement of living conditions of the populations of the province's capital city and Caála.
Joaquim Ventura said so to the press at the end of his visit intended to assess of major energy manufacturing & distribution infrastructures in Huambo province.
The official expressed satisfaction with the functioning of the sector in the region, marked by the starting of the hydroelectric Ngove dam , inaugurated in August last year.
During his stay in Huambo, the Secretary of State for Energy visited the Ngove sector where he assessed the current operation of the hydroelectric dam.
He also met with the officials of the Exploration Office of the Cunene River Basin.
The State secretary for energy visited the power station of Dango, attached to the district of Huambo and Caála, as well as the power plant and station of Benfica.
