Coca-Cola has launched the US$135 000 Coca-Cola Powering Education Promotion, a campaign geared towards assisting Zimbabweans with school fees. Participation in the Coca-Cola Powering Education promotion is open to Zimbabweans above 18 years who aspire to advance their education and that of their family members and friends.
All what participants are required to do to qualify for the various cash prizes is to collect a combination of six green crowns and or closures of Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Zero, Fanta, Sprite, Sparletta or Schweppes, fill the promotion's entry form, staple the crowns and submit into an entry box at any participating outlet.
Supporting education in Africa is one of Coca-Cola's many reasons demonstrating belief in the continent's potential and future.
"The promotion will run until April 13 2013. The mid-term draw will see 60 consumers winning US$500 each.
"The grand draw will have another 98 winners winning prizes of US$500, US$1 000, US$2 000.00 and US$5 000, making a total of US$135 000," said Ms Mona Karingi, Coca-Cola senior franchise brand manager
"Education is critical to a nation's development and, with Zimbabwe's literacy rate, at over 90 percent, Coca-Cola wants to play its part in supporting the quest for education by giving Zimbabweans an opportunity to win school fees."
Delta Corporation northern region general manager Dr Munyaradzi Nyandoro, said: "Coca-Cola is happy to launch yet another exciting promotion, this time in support of education and to inspire those whose dreams for more education may have been frustrated by lack of school fees.
"It is our hope that Zimbabweans will find this to be one of the most exciting promotions to participate in."
