Gambia/Nigeria: Gambian Referee to Officiate Nigeria-Mali Game

Gambian referee Papa Bakary Gassama has been unveiled as the central officiator of titanic clash between Nigerian and Mali in the African Cup of Nations.

Papa is Gambia's sole referee at the African Cup of Nations in South Africa and will lead proceedings in the game.

He is to be assisted by three other referees: one from the Republic of Eritrea as Angesom Ogbamariam and the other being from Rwanda named Felicien Kabanda.

Egyptian referee Gehad Grisha is Papa's fourth official.

Gassama, one of Gambia's outstanding football match officiators of recent, was among the African referees picked for the London Olympic Games.
