Nigeria: Kebbi Pilgrims' Board Gets New Chair

Birnin Kebbi — Alhaji Abdullahi Imam Shema, special adviser to Kebbi governor on religious affairs, has been appointed part time chairman of Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency by Governor Sa'idu Usman Nasamu Dakingari.

Abubakar Muazu Dakingari, Chief Press Secretary to the governor, said in a statement yesterday that the appointment takes immediate effect, saying Shema will also retain his position of special adviser to the governor on religious affairs.

Shema was chairman of Suru local government and onetime special adviser on local government and chieftaincy affairs.
