Nigeria: JISACA Trains PLWHA in Skills Acquisition

Dutse — Jigawa State Agency for the control of AIDs (JISACA) said about 50 under privilege people living with HIV/AIDs in the state especially women benefited from the skill acquisition training of the Agency last year.

This was disclosed by the executive Secretary of the. Agency, Dr. Bashir M Ahmed during a joint meeting between the state chapter of Network of People living with HIV/AIDs in Nigeria (NEPWHAN) and the Agency yesterday.

Said he "This year about 100 clients are expected to benefit from the same scheme, we will collaborate with the state ministry of Economic Empowerment in order to help them improve their living standard".

"We hope that very soon the Agency will soon provide cheaper Action Meal for the victims to serve as their food supplement and medication because we have observed that most of our clients are poor and cannot cater for themselves".
