Egypt: Planning Minister: Negotiations With IMF Going On

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Ashraf el-Arabi said on Wednesday 6/2/2013 that negotiations with International Monetary Fund (IMF) are going on.

In a press release, el-Arabi denied news that Cairo's talks with the IMF have stopped. He asserted that an IMF technical team will visit Egypt in the coming few weeks to resume discussions over a work plan proposed by the Egyptian government.

Egypt seeks a $4.8 bn loan from the IMF to give a shot in the arm to economy and growth.
