Egypt's Athletes Back Home From S. Korea's World Winter Games

A 28-strong Egyptian team returned home on Thursday 7/2/2013, coming from South Korea where they took part in the Special Olympics Winter Games in Pyeongchang, which wrapped up on Tuesday 5/2/2013.

The Pharaohs have managed to win four medals; three gold and one bronze.

The Egyptian champs got a warm welcome at Cairo International Airport.

Over 2,800 athletes from 100 countries took part in the competitions which featured, among other things, cross-country skiing, figure skating, floor ball, floor hockey, short track speed skating, snowboarding and snowshoeing.
