Kenya: Corrective Surgery Done At KNH

There are cases of children being born without an opening for passing out stool. Pediatric Surgeon Joel Lessan say this condition requires an operation known as a colostomy which is among one of the top surgical procedures for children under 5 years.

He says if the condition is contained early the kids can live a normal life. Kenyatta Hospital is the only public hospital in the country with specialists for this surgery.
