Nationwide Zone 'A' side Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) continued their preparations for the upcoming second division league season with a narrow 1-0 victory over Kenya Premier League side, Mathare United at the Goan Institute in Pangani yesterday.
Both teams fielded all their new signings with different squad appearing in each half. KRA coached by Ken Kenyatta scored the all important goal after 39th minute through Douglas Gabriel from a rasping long range shot that beat Joseph Ruto in Mathare goal.
Kenyatta said he was impressed by his players attitude on the pitch. "I'm happy they gave a good performance and I look forward to an entertaining and competitive season" he observed.
The tax-men coach hinted that his side might play another friendly match on Sunday against reigning Kenya Premier League champions Tusker at Ruaraka, subject to confirmation. The team were last week held to a 1-1 draw by KCB in a friendly at the latter's ground in Ruaraka.
