Strathmore Leos coach Mitch Ocholla is bullish about his team's chances of winning the Kenya Cup League this season. The Leos are currently placed second in the standings with 39 points, three behind Nakuru and have already qualified for the semi-final playoffs slated for February 16.
Ocholla said the side has the best opportunity to win the league this year. "It's wide open this year. I can't say there are clear favourites we have a very good chance of winning the league," he added.
Strathmore claimed the scalp of Quins a fortnight ago, winning 31-20 at the RFUEA ground and hammered fellow varsity side Blak Blad 71-0 last weekend. Ocholla said at this level, they can only get better. " We have not reached our peak yet and come the semifinals, we will be in good condition," added Ocholla.
The former Kenya Sevens tactician said they have learnt their mistakes from previous years.
"Its been a journey. We struggled in the first two years in the league but everything has come together now and we are one of the frontrunners," he added.
