AIRTEL Tanzania launched a new promotion of its money tranfer transactions, Airtel Money, through which subscribers' costs will be offset with airtime.

The Airtel Public Relations Manager, Mr Jackson Mmbando, said the firm would offset costs incurred by subscribers in transactions through Airtel Money.

"Airtel will pay twice the amount incurred through airtime. This is to encourage our clients," Mr Mmbando said in a statement. He, however, said the airtime bonus would be applicable to call for Airtel - Airtel. The additional airtime would be availed for sending and receiving cash through Airtel Money, he said.
